Prior to being named Consumer Investigative Reporter at KPIX, Julie Watts was an Emmy® Award-winning meteorologist. Her work in San Francisco took her from the chroma key to the crumbling cliffs of Pacifica.
In 2010, Julie won the American Meteorological Society’s prestigious award for Excellence in Science Reporting by a Broadcast Meteorologist.
Prior to that, Julie earned her meteorology credentials (AMS Seal) from the American Meteorological Society while working at KCRA 3 in Sacramento.
She was also a weather anchor, traffic anchor and reporter for CBS-47 in Fresno.
After a 5-year hiatus, Julie is back on the weather wall at KPIX pulling double duty as a weekend News Anchor and Meteorologist.
